Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, 11" x 17"

These are a series of designs and mockups I created for a fictional company called "ThrillLab."
The concept is a company who sells customizable model roller coaster kits, and different applications of the logo and the thinking behind the designs can be seen to the right.
Process
I began with a competitive analysis of the market this company would exist in. I wanted it to function as a toy (with an easy learning curve), but also be for model makers who want to dive into serious customization. Below are my findings as well as some name concepts and a word list for this brand.

After researching competitors in similar markets, I began sketching symbols and type that could be used in the logotype and logomark. Many of these were brought into Adobe Illustrator where they could be experimented with further, and I also worked on on typographic and color studies.
