Nightmare Machine Logo
July 2025, Adobe Illustrstor
This logo was made for one of my Lego roller coasters, "Nightmare Machine," which debuted at Brickfair Virginia 2025. Because I was spending so much time on the project itself, I had only a couple hours the day before leaving to come up with this logo. In the future I may or may not change it, but I think it turned out well for the amount of time I had. It was a good exercise in working with a very tight deadline.

Gaming Article Spread
April 2025, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, 16" x 10"
For this project, I chose an article from a student editorial contest by The New York times, and organized all of the text into a magazine spread, combining it with an illustration. Before I started the final drawing, I went through many iterations with different organizations of body copy. One of the biggest challenges was creating a neat, visually-digestible body copy while keeping the words unchanged. The original article by Tony Xiao can be read here:

Language of Design Poster
March 2025, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, Spline, 9.5 x 13"
This project involved creating a poster for a fictional event at RIT using a quote from a designer. I wanted to combine the quote with imagery that fit the quote's theme, and I thought that the best way to demonstrate this would be through some type of optical illusion.
The final result was a 3D model of the quote that could be read from different angles, and also contained a perspective illusion. The biggest challenge was figuring out how to achieve this while making the quote legible.

Art Movement Letter Cards
February 2025, Adobe Illustrator, 3" x 4"
These show a letterform designed to reflect an art movement. Both letters and movements were chosen at random — lowercase "o" and capital "N", and Art Deco and Minimalism respectively. I did extensive research on both of these movements; their history, the visual traits that made them unique, the artists involved, and the culture surrounding them. I used a limited color palette, and created a full background for the "o" card.

Unofficial Abbott's Ads
November 2024, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, 11" x 17", 1080 x 1080 pixels
This is a series of unofficial advertisements for Abbott's Frozen Custard. Two different ads are seen here in poster format, backlit sign format, and Instagram post format.

Nashville Tourism Posters
December 2024, Adobe InDesign, 11" x 14"
These posters were made to hypothetically advertise Nashville, Tennessee to possible tourists and music fans. The process involved first researching Nashville to get a good understanding of its history and culture, and this information would be used to inform both the design process and the content within the body copy. Only typographic elements were used for both posters.

"ThrillLab" Designs
October 2024, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, 11" x 17"
These are a series of designs I created for a fictional company called "ThrillLab." The concept is a company who sells customizable model roller coaster kits.

Divided States Poster
December 2024, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
This is a poster created to highlight the issue of political division in the USA, calling for civility when it comes to disagreements on political and social issues.

Initial Lettermark
September 2024, Adobe Illustrator, 8"x 8"
This was a lettermark I made based on my initials, restricted to one uppercase and one lowercase letter. The process started with creating a word list that described me (reliable, determined, complex, and introspective) before picking typefaces that I felt accurately reflected those words (Helvetica Oblique and Rockwell Italic) and making a mark that reflected the word list.

Bartstar Music Logo
July 2023, Adobe Illustrator
This was a logo I created for a friend who wanted to start a music business.

Rollback Logo
June 2024, Adobe Illustrator
A logo I created for "Rollback: Stunt Coaster," which is a custom model Lego roller coaster I built and have displayed at Brickfair Virginia each year.
The full model can be seen under the "Physical Art" section of my portfolio.

Rollback Supersonic Logo
December 2024, Adobe Illustrator
Another version of the Rollback logo I created. Being the insane theme park enthusiast I am, I thought it would be fun to create a version of this logo for a reimagining of the ride (even though said "reimagining" doesn't exist yet).

Voltage Typeface Poster
December 2022, Adobe Illustrator, 11" x 17"
This poster showcases the “Voltage” typeface by designer Laura Worthington. The composition and color palette takes inspiration from Laura’s own usage examples of this typeface.

Free Comic Book Day Poster
May 2023, Adobe Illustrator, 11” x 17”
This is a poster I created for free comic book day. While the Iron Man depiction is based on an image, all of the shapes were created manually by using the pen tool. The text at the top was also made using the pen tool, and is not a typeface.

Star Wars Polish Movie Poster
March 2023, Adobe Illustrator, 11” x 17”
For this project, I tried to emulate the style of many polish posters. This poster specifically is for the first "Star Wars" film, and features the Death Star firing a laser at the planet Alderaan. Blending methods and stock assets are to achieve specific textures.

Custom Instagram Ad
April 2023, Adobe Photoshop, 8" x 8”
This project involved making a series of unofficial Instagram advertisements for Mountain Dew. The Mountain Dew "Spark" ad in particular was the most difficult, as it was a challenge to find adequate smoke stock images for free. The Spark can is my own photograph.

Lotus Temple Poster
March 2023, Adobe Photoshop, 11" x 17"
A poster that features the Lotus Temple in India, advertising a fictional event held there.

"Mr. Shades" Collection
December 2022, Adobe Illustrator
A series of artworks featuring a character made completely from letters. The typeface used was "Voltage" by Laura Worthington.
