As artificial intelligence becomes better at generating images, more and more companies are starting to use it to replace human artists. Specifically, Six Flags infamously used AI to generate the logo for Six Flags Fiesta Texas' 2027 family launched coaster, Werewolf Gorge.
In this situation, I saw an opportunity to not only redesign the logo, but educate from a graphic designer's perspective on why AI logos are (at least for now) not able to replace humans.
Amazingly, the Instagram reel I posted showing my redesign gained over 65k views, and was received incredibly well by the general public, coaster enthusiasts, and other artists.
That being said, this was more of a casual project for fun than anything, and some people have fairly pointed out things that could have been improved. Regardless, I think I did a good job at highlighting the shortcomings of AI and that even a student such as myself can create something generally more well-liked than AI.
