Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, 11" x 17"

The goal of this project was to create a poster based on a quote of our choosing from a famous designer. One quote that really stuck out to me was this one by Steve Jobs: "design is not just what it looks like and feels like—design is how it works."
I feel that as designers, this is one of the most important things we need to keep in mind. Aesthetics are certainly important, but good design is largely defined by how effective a piece is at achieving a functional goal. With this in mind, I wanted the imagery to reflect that idea in some way.
I took a pretty big gamble with the imagery I chose. The original intent was to create an optical illusion through the text (which I was still able to somewhat implement with my final design) but doing this in the original way I wanted to execute it proved to be unrealistic for the time I had and the quote's length.
I wanted to evoke a retro, early computer graphics feel with the imagery, which was primarily created using Spline 3D. InDesign and Photoshop were used to edit and format the final image and type.
